As promised, the weekend found me up to my tush, and over my head in stains and colors. Lucky girl that I am, there was also a lovely surprise of breakfast croissants. Cutest Hubby found one of my favorites, Trader Joe's croissants in the freezer and put them out the night before to proof.
Early Sunday morning, he popped them in the oven, and I awoke to the smell of fresh coffee and baking bread. Lovely.
Sunday morning found me drinking a huge mug of his special blend of coffees (he mixes a Hawaiian blend with a morning blend), and a freshly backed croissant.
If you haven't tried the wonder of Trader Joe's croissants than this is a must. If you don't live near a Trader Joe's consider the alternative from William Sonoma. Both are wonderful, but TJ's are far less expensive and just as good.
Run to the Trader Joe's near you or for a special holiday breakfast visit William Sonoma for the wonder of fresh baked croissants. Try them with a bit of jam, or slice them open and pop in a bit of shaved chocolate and dust with powder sugar. ...enjoy!
