Chrissi B! no money worries can rob you of these riches ....

People often chat with me about our family. Taking care of siblings is not easy. Friends, neighbors, strangers .....Each group offer a different selection of questions. Each is respectful. All are curious. Pending our relationship with the inquisitor, Cutest Hubby and I answer ....Oh you know, it has it's days. One day at a time ....Typically we provide short answers to divert the questions to a more pleasant topic.

Frankly, caring for anyone is trying. I find caring for a sibling much harder than caring for a parent. I have done both. My parents were a breeze, my brother ...Well, not so much. I think you never really outgrow your childhood differences. My brother is older than I am, and I so understand that it must be annoying to have your little sister ....the sister you drove to the beach and the mall and .....Tell you what to do.

I understand.

Which brings me to today's chat ..... I am a lucky woman! I have a wonderful family, as odd as it is, it is mine and I joyfully embrace it's wonders and amusements. Case in point? Older (my brother) designed a series of uplifting signs of celebration and posted them through out our downstairs yesterday. Each bit of whimsy was well planned, carefully drawn and a gift of love.

My brother is not the "creative type". He has no use for markers and paints. When he asked me for a collection of colors and papers, I shrugged my shoulders and complied. When Cutest Hubby and I awoke this morning, his efforts filled the room. Simple signs of celebration. Good wishes. Encouragement ....Each sign witness to the fortunes that we hold.

Grab your own signs of celebration, celebrate your family today. Embrace the differences as well as the similarities of your own family. Rejoice in each small accomplishment and each task. These my friends are life's treasures. The stock market has no control over your riches .....You, like me may be rich in what matters most. Matters of the heart.
