The Internet is a wonderful arena, don't you think? A circus of dancing sights and sounds just a click away. I love to watch a musical performance over and over on youtube, I love to scour my favorite shops for new finds and I love to shop miles from my home, at two in the morning.

Just hangin' around the house in my jammies, a few weeks ago when I stumbled on a simply wonderful find, in the French General. Only a few hours from my home, French General, is located in Hollywood, Cali and promises to be a find online or in person.

French General is one of those few websites that stops you in your tracks, makes your heart beat faster, and calls out to your American Express card .....Let's play, chrissi ...Let's shop! NOW! You know the kind, they are pretty little shops, filled with pretty little finds. Page after page of all the things you really need, yet there is nothing you really need. You know the kind .....You must have these things.

Kaari Meng brings you this pretty little romp, and to the delight of all she has authored three books(each nicely photographed and displayed), to inspire. French Inspired Home and French Inspired Jewelry. A new offering, Home Sewn, was just released by Chronicle and is available at Amazon or at French General, where it may be signed on request. How fun for you! Either of these book choices would be a lovely gift.

On my first visit, French General courted and wooed. I playfully scoured the notions section, danced through in the kit offerings and ran to the paper section. Here the wrappings will delight and the kits will amuse. Each offering is a wonder and every page is simply a delight to drink in.

This website is beautifully appointed and a joy to wander. If you are in the area, book space in a Saturday workshop and create .French General... Go, play, meander ....enjoy!
