Where is it right now? Where is it, this very minute? Where will it be tomorrow? I so love the ability to track a shipment. I so hate the ability to track a shipment. Don't you just love that we can see where our package is, when it was sent, and when it will arrive on our door? Doesn't it just make you nuts?
We shop online a lot at our house. I tend to get a bit giddy when I know a package will soon be landing on our door step. Don't get me wrong, I love any package landing on my door step ...Books for the guys? Cool. Tools for Cutest Hubby? Fun! Something for me? Love it! All parcels are welcome here.
Cutest and I, are expecting a rather large shipment. I have waited quite a while this purchase to arrive, so when the tracking number was emailed to us...Jackpot! Now, several times each day I plunk in the tracking code to see where my new find is sitting. Do you do this? Do you hold your breath when you see the estimated delivery date posted? Do you find this a bit like waiting for Santa to arrive on Christmas morning?
The anticipation is a killer. The wait is long. The power is painful. Maybe we were all better off before the Internet, when we simply waited for our boxes to arrive? Not knowing where these brown parcels had been, or just how they found their way to our door. The adventure of it all may have made the arrival a bit sweeter. Some how seeing my Manhattan find, being shipped from a small, nameless, mid-western outpost a bit ordinary. Oh well .... I wonder where it is right now? ... enjoy!
