I am a huge fan of candles. I also adore my nightly bubble bath. Catch me sometime after ten each night, and you will find me in a mass of bubbles and concoctions. My current favorite is a simple blend of philosophy's, amazing grace bath gel and Origins, The Way of the Bath™ Matcha Tea Body Soak. My little bit of heaven for me, on earth.
One of the rituals of my bath is mood lighting. Switching off some lights, putting a few on dim , and then lighting a few candles. I light a different selection of candles each night, but for the three in a silver candelabra. I light these candles each night. A silver candelabra? Yes, I have a wonderfully ornate sterling candelabra that graces my bathroom and bath experience.
The candelabra was passed to me from my mom. I have no real use for something so ornate and traditional in my day to day life. Not many of us do, yet, I wanted to use it and see it everyday. In an effort to "enjoy" my gifts, I use it in my bathroom. Each night, as I light the candles I am blessed with memories if it's use.
I recall dinner parties, holidays, anniversaries and celebrations all with the simple lighting of a candle.
