You probably did not know that I am a huge fan of hearts. For all of my adult life, and trust me that is a bit of time we are chatting about, I have been enamoured with the heart.
Wood hearts, stone hearts, paper hearts ....All good! Heart buttons, heart rings, heart notes, heart serve ware .....Loving those too. Now as I have grown older and hopefully just a bit wiser, my collection of hearts has grown quite a bit smaller. I have become a bit more discretionary in my heart purchases.
Contrary to popular thought ....Not all hearts are keepers.
Hearts have long been a symbol of importance in my life. Since the day my mom died I have seen a heart in all forms of life.... Daily! Really each day I and those with me find something heart shaped in the most unusual places. Don't laugh, I have a team of witnesses.
When I first met my DH, it took him a bit of time too "see" the way. The heart potato chip did not phase him. The heart shaped rock was a fluke, and the heart brick on our hearth was just imagination. It wasn't until the anniversary of my moms' death ....It was a very long day for me and as usual a hard day to remember. DH asked me to look out our kitchen window at 6:21 p.m. and there in the plantings and dirt that faces our window a huge, indisputable heart!
Designed only of the play on lights and water from our random sprinkling system, a four foot heart, showed herself at the exact time my mom had died just years before. Thus, WE believe in hearts!
It is the passion for good hearts that brings me to www.anthonyhansen.com/. Mr. Hansen's work is both rugged and elegant. Traditional and whimsical. His work brings joy to the eye, so I share it with you. His gallery is accessible at his site as well as a listing of showings. Contact him, visit him or just take a peek at some wonderful hearts! ...enjoy!
