It was a beautiful sunny day, and the children outside of the courthouse were dressed in their finest. Proud parents beamed as babies toddled down miles of steps. Balloons of all colors were tied to wrists of all sizes. It was a wonderful sight! It was adoption day at my local court house. I was mesmerized by the magic of it all.....
As we have chatted before, Cutest Hubby and I are in the throws of the adoption process. It is exhausting, exhilarating, terrible and wonderful all at the same time! Adoption is much like having a child, but just not the fun in the outset .......A long, painful process to get what you really want ....A child!
We find ourselves knee deep in papers and forms, and the adventure of it all. Cutest and I have spotted several wonderful kidlings, that we would love to make our own, but since our process is not as advanced as some, the kids are already "home". We are grateful for that. Each time we spy a wonder, we hope and pray that he or she will not be there when we are ready ...They are all just too amazing, and they should be in a happy home today!
As we chat, I just wanted to give a huge, huge thank you, to all the moms and dads out there who have gone far and beyond and given up their precious children. You are my heroes! Not a day goes by that I do not thank you for the great sacrifice that you have made for your babies!
The closer we come to the end of our journey and the beginning of a new page in our family, the more I appreciate the decision many make for the good of their children. Bless you all ....take care.
