Living in southern Cali, we find many newspapers available for delivery. Our local papers hit our driveway each morning, but we also have access to both the San Diego and Los Angeles papers too. We simply cannot read each paper, and honestly, we do not like every paper. I grew up reading the Los Angeles Times. I find comfort in it's format and layout.
The Los Angeles Times, has changed a lot since I was a kid. Most newspapers have had to make big changes in staffing, writing and layout, due to the high cost of production, resources and benefits. It is not the paper of my youth, yet each year I write the check and place the order.

Again, comfort.
Ordering is easy for me, as we faithfully read one columnists each week. The writings of Chris Erskine, hit home with us, and always bring a smile to our faces. Cutest hubby and I read the column to each other each week. Laughing, there is always laughing.
The adventures of Mr. Erskine and his wife, along with their four children, is known as "Man of the House". Stories will amuse and delight, life lessons to ponder and antics at each and every turn. Topics are familiar ....New baby! In laws! Parties! Little league! All topics we each can relate to.
Do yourself a huge favor and google Chris Erskine, link to the Los Angeles Times and read his Thursday column. It will be a highlight in your day. If you too find his writings addictive, Barnes and Noble has his book, "Man of the House" , available for purchase. Pick one up, it is great read. ...enjoy!
