Have you read about the candy wars? No, there are no gummy bear wars, or jelly belly wars ...At least not yet. These are the Chocolate wars! Not the famed "Chocolate Wars" of Hollywood movie fame, but real chocolate candy wars? I guess we are just not eating enough chocolate, and companies like Hershey's are suffering.Big business folks in "the know" say that there is a merge between the Mars Candy Company and the Wrigley Company. In their own self defense, Hershey is supposedly looking at a life saving merge with the Cadbury Company. Sounds messy. Chocolate everywhere! Iam imagining a Willy Wonka kind of moment?
I am from a family of chocolate makers. My parents were friends with lots of "chocolate types". I guess, editorial speaking, I must tell you that. To come clean, so to speak.
But not eating enough chocolate? Americans? I am amazed. I see chocolate everywhere. Little me thought if chocolate was everywhere that it must be selling to everyone. People must want it! Pooh!, I want it, I just don't eat it as often as I would like.
Well, I guess the chocolate companies are hurting and it is all my fault. It is your fault too. It is our fault. We need to eat chocolate. So go .....Eat chocolate. Indulge in a chocolate fantasy of sorts. Save the economy! You owe it to this great country ....enjoy!
