I am a huge fan of Arthur Court designs. With roots dating back to seventies, Arthur Court and his wife Elena Orsini-Court, have turned serve ware into something fun. Bunny platters, Sunflower serve ware and even a special line for the Kentucky Derby.
I am not really sure what draws me to the fabulous Court line. I remember being dragged about a well known china and dec store in Beverly Hills one day. Waiting not so patiently for my mom and dad, I wandered from display to display, and then I fell upon the Arthur Court display. The silver work was nice, the display was beautiful but I loved the subject matter. I had never seen trays and platters that were fun!
The usual fare for serving platters and table ware is rather boring, unless you are going for a whimsical pottery line. Arthur Court designs offer a look of substance, a product of weight and durability but with whimsy. Bingo! Home run! Love it! Case in point, this fun California license plate platter ... California Dreamin....Great fun.
