it's me ...chrissi b! and I love a celebration!

I can't repeat it enough ....I love a celebration! I love the excitement of a baby! A new house! A promotion!

Celebrating life's moments is what gets me through the days, week and years. I am giddy with excitement when someone I care about moves forward on their path through life.

I come by this celebration stuff genetically. I was engineered to want happiness for everyone. In my past life, I could of been the poster girl for Hallmark. I made cards at an early age to express my joy for you. I wrapped found articles so you would have gifts to open when you arrived home. Okay, they were usually "your" articles but I did wrap them, and I presented them to you with the same anticipation as an early Christmas morning. The gift was not important to me ....It was the opening of the gift. The surprise of it all!

Traditional celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries are grand. I mark those with new found objects, photos or mementos of jewelry.

I have been lucky enough to receive some rather nice gifts of celebration. A few of my personal favorites are from the Tiffany line of Celebration, tiffany.com ....A collection of rings to mark an occasion.

The Celebration line is a grand collection of small, unique rings that one collects to mark special times in their lives. Each delicate design stands alone or dances excitedly when paired with other like rings.

I have a small personal collection of these rings, and in celebration of my own birthday this week, I was gifted with yet another. A sweet pink sapphire and diamond band .....A remembrance of sorts from my hubby.

As I wear this changing assortment of rings, I recall each holiday or occasion of their gifting. As much as I love these pieces of rock and stone, I love the thought behind their gifting. You see, hubby doesn't even really like these rings, he gives them because I do. It is a gift in its truest sense, buying something because it is what they (ME) would want.

Rings need not be Tiffany's to be special. For that matter, gifts of celebration need not be rings. We know that ....Perhaps you have a whimsical collection of teapots or candlesticks gathered as mementos of celebrations. Remembrances of holidays and travels.

Life is a celebration. ....enjoy!
